I am Nathan Merck, a generalist 3D artist and programmer with a genuine love and passion for all things games. In my opinion, making games is one of the greatest forms of artistic expression. It requires the cooperation of nearly every single art form in order to function properly. Games can require proficiency in 2D and/or 3D art along with skills in music, acting, animation, architecture, storytelling and mathematics just to get started; they require all of the arts to come together to create something unique and exciting. Gaming can take us from the mundane of our lives and transport us to somewhere fantastic where everything revolves around you. That's why I love them, they have the power to take us on adventures we could only dream of while telling us compelling and rich stories, all of which is wrapped up in an interactive medium that was built for the purpose of helping people have fun.

Gaming offers the chance to envelope its players in a rich new world filled to the brim with engaging stories and thrilling fun, and that is what I hope to create through my art.
